Tasked with creating a type specimen book centered around a single font, this sweet typeface was the way to go. The book needed to include extensive information about the typographer, relevant quotes, anatomy, alphabetical and numerical examples, and ligatures. The book intends to encapsulate the personality of the typeface by using graphic elements, patterns, and colors.
Focusing heavily on text treatment, I used various weights, sizes, colors, and cases to establish a hierarchy of information on each spread. I captured the fun, exciting vibe of the typeface by using a bright color palette and groovy patterns. Many of the patterns feature letters and punctuations from the font at varying weights. Dotties Chocolate is a super sweet specimen book that can give you a sugar rush, from just looking at it!
